PA ABLE Savings Program: What Families Need to Know

Helping People with Disabilities Plan for a Better Financial Future

The Pennsylvania ABLE Savings Program (PA ABLE) is now open for enrollment. Introduced by State Treasurer Joe Torsella, this program gives individuals with disabilities—and their families— a way to save for the future without losing eligibility for important government benefits.

PA ABLE accounts can be used to save for a variety of qualified disability-related expenses, including education, housing, and healthcare. Funds grow tax-free when used for these qualified expenses.

To learn more about the benefits of the program or attend an informational webinar, please visit PAABLE.gov or call 855-529-ABLE (2253).

The program is managed by the Pennsylvania Treasury Department. Before opening an account, be sure to read the official disclosure statement, which outlines how PA ABLE may affect federal and state benefits, and provides details about investment options, risks, fees, and tax implications.
